Dr. Christopher Sissle graduated from the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine in 2005. After relocating to California, he practiced in the Sacramento region before joining Sylvan Corners Pet Hospital in 2013.
Known for his enthusiasm, surgical skills, and attentive approach to client communication, Dr. Sissle is committed to helping pet owners understand their animals' healthcare needs.
His professional affiliations have included the California Veterinary Medical Association (CVMA), American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), and Sacramento Valley Veterinary Medical Association (SVVMA).
Outside the hospital, Dr. Sissle enjoys spending time with his family, participating in community activities, and caring for his rescue Chihuahuas, Thor and Hulk.
Dr. Donna Folger, DVM

Dr. Donna Folger graduated from the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine in 1989.
Her veterinary career began in Fair Oaks, California, where she worked alongside colleagues who later became part of the Sylvan Corners Pet Hospital team in 1992.
With decades of veterinary experience, Dr. Folger brings extensive knowledge of companion animal medicine and surgery to the hospital.
Her longstanding connection to the practice and local community reflects the continuity of care that makes Sylvan Corners special.
Outside work, she enjoys family life and has a particular fondness for cats and Border Collies.
Dr. Michelle Sievers, DVM
Veterinary Dentistry, Surgery & Medical Care
Dr. Michelle Sievers completed her undergraduate studies at UC Berkeley before earning her veterinary degree from UC Davis in 1997.
Following veterinary school, she completed an internship in small animal emergency medicine and surgery in Ventura, California, gaining experience across emergency and general veterinary practice.
Her professional interests include veterinary dentistry, surgery, and emergency medicine.
Dr. Sievers brings extensive experience serving pets and families in the Sacramento area.
When she's not caring for patients, she enjoys hiking, rafting, scuba diving, mountain biking, and spending time outdoors with her family and dog, Sunny.
Dr. Jenna Lee-Ahrens, DVM

Dr. Jenna Lee-Ahrens grew up in Northern California and completed her undergraduate and veterinary education at UC Davis.
